$EVVO holders will set the limits EVVO runs inside: the ranges the Adaptive Layer may move within, and the protocol parameters. On-chain voting is planned for mainnet. The treasury and contract upgrades are not put to a vote. A public multisig run by the EVVO core dev holds them.

What holders will vote on

Two areas. Each is a setting that changes how the chain behaves.

AreaWhat holders decide
Adaptive Layer rangesHow far the forecasting model may move each of its three settings
Protocol parametersThe settings of the chain itself, including the fixed defaults it runs on when the Adaptive Layer is off

Holders set the limits

The Adaptive Layer proposes. Governance decides how far it may go.

  • Bounded. The model moves a parameter only inside the range governance sets. A proposal outside the range is not applied, and the parameter holds.
  • Public. Every forecast, every change and every outcome is written on chain.
  • Switchable. A fixed default always exists, and the model can be turned off.

See The Adaptive Layer.

From proposal to change

Planned for EVVO mainnet. Proposals and votes happen on chain, on EVVO.

  1. Propose. A holder posts a proposal on EVVO: the parameter, the new value or range, and the reason.
  2. Vote. $EVVO holders vote on chain. Every vote is public.
  3. Apply. A passed proposal is applied by the governance contract. A failed one changes nothing.
  4. Record. Every proposal, vote and change stays on chain for anyone to read.

What holders do not vote on

Two areas stay outside the vote.

  • The treasury. It pays out the 15% ecosystem allocation, 1,500,000 $EVVO: testnet incentives, agent builders and grants.
  • Contract upgrades. Changes to the protocol's system contracts.

A multisig is a wallet that needs several signers before it acts. A public multisig run by the EVVO core dev holds the treasury and the upgrade rights, and every transaction is public. It is planned, and it is set up with the token launch.

Stages of control

StageWhat holds
Now$EVVO is deployed on Ethereum and not trading. There is no multisig yet, and nothing to vote on.
Testnet (Phase 3)The Adaptive Layer runs advisory on testnet, inside published ranges, and publishes every forecast against the outcome. The chain keeps its fixed settings.
Mainnet (Phase 4)Proposals and on-chain voting on EVVO. Holders set the ranges the Adaptive Layer acts inside, and the protocol parameters. The treasury and upgrades stay with the multisig.
Later (Phase 5)When sequencing decentralizes, operators stake $EVVO.
